Weddings
Live portrait drawing is a fun entertainment for your guests! Most couples are looking for guest portraits during the ‘lull’ time between their ceremony and reception, or at their evening event.
I work face to face and aim to flatter! Each portrait typically takes between 2-3 minutes per person. All I need is a well-lit spot at your venue, a table where I can set up my easel and materials, and two chairs. If natural light is not available, the table must be positioned near a socket for a lamp.
If the portraits are intended as favours, live portraits are best suited to smaller weddings of around 50-60 guests. However, I am happy to work with larger crowds with the caveat that I may not have time to draw everyone! In order to work as efficiently as possible, I usually bring my assistant, Katie, who manages my work flow to make sure that I am always busy but people aren’t spending time queuing.
All portraits are hand drawn with permanent ink on archival paper and handed to guests at the time in an envelope matching your colour scheme.
Pricing (including all materials & packaging) starts at £100 p/h for a minimum booking of 3 hours then £75 p/h thereafter (5 hrs max). Mileage outwith Dundee City is charged at 45p per mile or the cost of an ‘Anytime’ return train ticket from Dundee.
To enquire about live portrait illustration at your wedding, send me an email with your date, venue and number of guests and I will get back to you with a bespoke quote.
